From one generation ... to the next

The Fond du Lac Area Foundation is a community foundation that exists for the good of the community. The Foundation is a 501 (c)3 organization with a purpose to build a permanent & lasting endowment to support the charitable needs of the community now and forever. Since 1975, the Fond du Lac Area Foundation has partnered with generous individuals, families, and businesses to strengthen our community through charitable giving. The Foundation is dedicated to helping people just like you achieve your charitable dreams, no matter how big or small.

The Foundation provides the following:

  1. A service to donors who have a charitable dream. The Foundation works with them to ensure that their charitable dream is set up properly, documented and carried out to the donor's specifications.  Provide donors with a Legacy Society to allow their names to live on forever through planned giving.

  2. Grants for the charitable good of the community to support health and human services, education, the arts, the environment, etc.

  3. The Foundation acts as a neutral convenor and collaborator to work with individuals and organizations to determine unmet needs within our community and find ways to meet those needs.

Confirmed in Compliance with National Standards for U.S. Community Foundations

Good Afternoon friends of the Foundation....The Fond du Lac Area Foundation will see a change in leadership by summer.

Sandi Roehrig will step down from her role of executive director — a position she has held since 1995 — and into a part-time role as she prepares for retirement. The board of directors has selected Joseph Braun, who has been with the foundation since 2002 and currently serves as the director of Finance & Development, to fill her position.

We are so thankful for the excellent leadership & growth that Sandi had provided for the The Foundation through the years. The change will be effective in June. Here is the link from the Reporter that has more information about it.
