Mark M. Seidel was a guidance counselor at Theisen Middle School in Fond du Lac for 38 years, retiring in 2008.  After his sudden death in August 2017, his family began the Mark M. Seidel “Let’s Keep It Positive” Memorial Scholarship Fund to honor his life’s work.  Mark’s compassion, support, sense of humor, and ability to listen made him a valued counselor, teacher, mentor, brother, and friend.  Mark especially loved his time spent working with young people at Theisen where he made an overwhelmingly positive impact on both students and faculty.

Mark's motto, “Let’s Keep It Positive,” was known to all the people whose lives he touched.  It is hoped that Mark’s legacy will live on with the awarding of the Mark M. Seidel “Keep It Positive” Memorial Scholarships given in his name to students who have attended Theisen Middle School and who are now graduating seniors of Fond du Lac High School.
