Beaver Dam Area Giving 100

What is Beaver Dam Area Giving 100?
Beaver Dam Area Giving 100 is a collective giving program that brings together community-minded individuals who want to make a difference. Members pool their resources to create a significant impact for local nonprofits without a huge time or financial commitment. The concept is simple: Four times a year, 100 people each give $100, and together we grant $7,500 to a local nonprofit with an annual community impact of $30,000. It’s an easy way to make a big difference in our area.
How a Beaver Dam Area Giving 100 Event Works
- Arrive and Connect Giving 100 meetings are hosted at unique and interesting locations, some of which are not typically open to the public. Meetings begin promptly at 5:00 p.m. Members are welcome to arrive on time, purchase a beverage if available, and spend time socializing with fellow Giving 100 members.
- Be Inspired by a Guest Speaker Each meeting features a guest speaker who delivers a brief presentation designed to engage, inform, and energize the group.
- Hear from Local Nonprofits Following the speaker, members will hear from three community projects presented by representatives from local nonprofit organizations. Each nonprofit is given five minutes to present their project. After each presentation, members have an additional five minutes to ask questions.
- Cast Your Vote After all presentations conclude, members will anonymously vote for the project they would most like to see funded. Upon registration, each member receives a token. Members place their token into the bucket corresponding to their chosen project.
- Grant Recipient Announcement The project that receives the most votes is announced immediately following the vote. The total number of votes is not disclosed.
