SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

The Jeffrey L. Merrill Athletic, Scholastic Scholarship is available through the Fond du Lac Area Foundation for educational purposes. Jeffrey was a sophomore at Goodrich High School when he lost his life in a varsity hockey game on January 24, 1989.  He truly knew the value of academics and athletics.  The motto “Be the Best You Can Be” described Jeff.  He excelled in hockey and other sports but also knew the importance of education. The Jeffrey L. Merrill Athletic, Scholastic Scholarship is awarded annually to a senior student at Fond du Lac High School (formerly Goodrich High School) who intends to further his/her education at a four year accredited college.

SCHOLARSHIP GUIDELINES

Scholarship will be awarded on the basis of the following criteria:
A. Scholastic achievement in high school:  A minimum of 3.00 grade point is required.
B. 
Athletic achievement in high school:  Lettered in a minimum of two varsity sports.
C. 
Personal Statement will be deciding factor among students having met both requirements named above.

APPLICANTS MUST

Scholarship will be awarded on the basis of the following criteria:
A. 
Be a senior at Fond du Lac High School.
B. 
Be furthering their education at a four year accredited college.
C. 
Meet requirements listed in Section II.
