Horicon Family of Funds
Our Mission
In 1986, the Horicon Community Development Corporation organized and chartered the Horicon Area Foundation through which public-spirited citizens could make lasting gifts for the long-term needs of the community. In January 2022, the former Horicon Area Foundation joined the Fond du Lac Area Foundation as a regional affiliate.
A primary goal for Horicon Funds has been and continues to be the wise distribution of grants for community philanthropy. Their regional affiliation assures donors that gifts received and grants distributions made through the Fond du Lac Area Foundation are based on the following principles:
- Meeting the greatest local needs
- Guarantee flexibility
- Permanent administration of funds
- Obtaining maximum tax advantages for donors
- Perpetuating legacies through memorial funds and honorarium gifts
- Simple gift-making process
