SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

Fond du Lac Firefighters –Local 400 awards an annual scholarship to Fond du Lac County high school seniors who will be furthering his/her education toward a career in Emergency Medical Services as a Paramedic OR any Fond du Lac County resident currently enrolled in a Paramedic program.  Chris Henning was a firefighter / paramedic with the City of Fond du Lac Fire Department who was killed in an automobile accident on May 3, 2003.  He was a man that let his heart guide him through life, as he chose to serve his fellow man.  As Chris strove to better himself in life, he never forgot to take time to share his contagious smile with those around him.

The Chris Henning Memorial Fund has been converted into a scholarship fund in hopes of contributing to some individual, the financial help needed to enter into a career in Emergency Medicine.  It is our dream that this scholarship may help restore to Emergency Medicine that which Chris’s loss has left void.
