Benjamin “Ben” Heath Booher was a graduate of Oakfield High School, class of 2004 where he was a standout soccer player and wrestler.  He was also a member of FFA and active in the youth group at his church.  Ben participated in his family’s show pig business and competed at the Fond du Lac County and Wisconsin State Fairs. Ben was a freshman at Lakeland College where he was on the wrestling squad when he tragically died as a result of an automobile accident.

Ben’s life was full and complete.  Anyone who knew Ben quickly recognized his determination to do his best.  His life exemplified devotion and unequaled dedication to athletics, work, and his church.  Ben had a tremendous drive to be the best at everything he did and also had a strong conviction to his spiritual beliefs.


A $500 scholarship will be awarded on the basis of the following criteria:
A. A graduating senior from Oakfield High School with plans to pursue post-secondary education
Must have participated in a high school sport as well as other school activities
C. Minimum GPA of 2.0 as demonstrated by high school transcript
Written statement (400 words or less) describing:
How your involvement in high school athletics and other school activities have contributed to the person you are today
Give an example of how your own personal drive has helped you to succeed
How your belief system will help you and others in the future
What do you do in your life that goes above and beyond what’s expected relative to such things as: reaching your goals, your family, your work, and your spiritual beliefs?
