A Fond du Lac Area Foundation, Ed & Margaret Anders Family Scholarship is available to a Fond du Lac County resident seeking an undergraduate degree.   The eligible student should be currently enrolled or planning to enroll in college and have completed (or will have completed) a minimum of 48 college credits during semester of application.   The Ed & Margaret Anders Family Scholarship was established in memory of Ed and Margaret by their children and grandchildren.  Ed and Marge believed in the value of education.  Throughout the years they were known to have helped those in need, anonymously.  This scholarship honors Ed and Marge and recognizes their desire to help those who have a financial need and are looking to continue their education.                   


Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of the following student criteria:

  1. Financial Need
  2. Personal statement describing in two sentences or less your career goals and reason for choosing your field.  Additionally, describe your financial need and how receiving this scholarship will help you fund your education.
  3. Job history/ work history while attending college
  4. Community service and/or volunteer hours or membership in college campus related activities or organization
  5. Seeking a first undergraduate degree.


  1. Have completed (or will have completed) a minimum of 48 college credits during semester of application.
  2. Be a legal resident of Fond du Lac County and a graduate of a local high school.
  3. Submit a most recent CERTIFIED college transcript.  Applications without this requirement WILL NOT be considered.
  4. Applications must be received or postmarked by April 15 and mailed to:
